El Presente Simple es un tiempo verbal que usamos para hablar sobre hábitos, rutinas, hechos generales, y horarios fijos.

Forma Afirmativa

La forma afirmativa del presente simple es bastante sencilla. Generalmente, usamos el verbo en su forma base. Sin embargo, hay una excepción importante para la tercera persona del singular (he, she, it).

Para he, she, e it, añadimos una -s o -es al final del verbo. Por ejemplo: I work, you work, he works, she works, it works, we work, they work.

Forma Negativa

Para formar la negación en el presente simple, necesitamos los auxiliares do y does, junto con la palabra not. Do not se contrae a don't y does not se contrae a doesn't.

Usamos don't con I, you, we, y they. Usamos doesn't con he, she, e it. Después del auxiliar (don't o doesn't), usamos el verbo en su forma base (sin la -s).

It doesn't rain a lot here.
We don't watch TV.
They don't go to school.

Forma Interrogativa

Para hacer preguntas en el presente simple, también usamos los auxiliares do y does. Colocamos el auxiliar al principio de la oración, seguido del sujeto y el verbo en su forma base.

Usamos Do con I, you, we, y they. Usamos Does con he, she, e it. No olvides el signo de interrogación al final.

Respuestas cortas: Para respuestas cortas a preguntas de sí/no, usamos Yes, I do / No, I don't para I, you, we, they. Usamos Yes, he/she/it does / No, he/she/it doesn't para he, she, it.

Hábitos y Rutinas: I drink coffee every morning. They go to the gym after work.
Hechos Generales: The sun rises in the east. Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.
Horarios Fijos: The train leaves at 9 am. The movie starts at 7 pm.
